Overview

GLWI’s 3-year part-time certificate program is offered in partnership with Mount Mary University in Milwaukee. As you look at the Outline below, all of the EDU courses are offered jointly with Mount Mary University. Enrollment in these courses requires registration with both Mount Mary and GLWI; tuition is paid to Mt. Mary and supply fees are paid to GLWI. Enrollment in all of the GLWI courses is strictly through a registration process with GLWI, and tuition and supply fees are paid to GLWI.

Distance Learning

We have been evolving our certificate program to better serve people who live at a distance from Milwaukee. The way it works is as follows:

  • The three 3-week Summer Intensives must be attended in person.
  • The three fall EDU courses meet one night per week, with an in-person retreat one weekend in October. Distance students participate in the weeknights via our video conferencing service, GoToTraining and are required to attend the weekend retreat.
  • The three spring GLWI Foundation Studies courses each begin with an in-person weekend retreat. The remainder of the course is online, on the student’s own schedule.
  • The three GLWI Independent Study Fieldwork and Practicum courses include observation and practice teaching at various Waldorf schools.
