PLANTING FOR FORAGING: Basic Gardening for Home or School – Adult Enrichment with Dawn Van-Kley Imes

Learn basic gardening skills, composting, soil preparation, planting techniques, and tool care. Whether you would like to grow yummy, bug-friendly vegetables for your own kitchen or are interested in learning how to teach gardening to children in the Waldorf school, this course is for every skill level.
A message from Dawn –
Participation in this workshop will not only exercise your body, it will awaken wonder and a feeling of well-being. Practical gardening skills strengthen hope and a sense for our responsibility towards the earth. Conversations will include tips for successful gardening experiences with children of all ages.
LOCATION: PRAIRIE HILL WALDORF SCHOOL
Dawn Imes has been the practical arts teacher at Prairie Hill Waldorf School for more than 25 years. Before joining Prairie Hill, Dawn was the handwork teacher at the Milwaukee Urban Waldorf School. She and her husband, Michael, have an incredible garden that they enjoy foraging.
