Helena Renz Mitchell MEd

Helena Mitchell is the Early Childhood Center Coordinator and Director of Daycare Licensing at the Detroit Waldorf School, where she has also taught in the Kindergarten and Pre-School. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College in English Language and Literature and went on to obtain a Master's in Education from Cabrini College. She completed Foundation Studies in Anthroposophy at Sunbridge College and received her Waldorf Early Childhood certification from the Waldorf Institute of Southeastern Michigan (WISM), along with completing the courses for Waldorf Elementary Teachers. She also holds a Waldorf Extra Lesson Educational Support Certificate from Rudolf Steiner College. Helena is a graduate of DWS, the Washington Waldorf High School, and the mother of two DWS alums.
