TRANSFORMATIONAL THINKING – GLWI Spring Foundations Course, 2 units
This Great Lakes Waldorf Institute Foundations course explores Rudolf Steiner’s approach to understanding understanding, how it relates to human freedom and morality, and how it provides a context that helps us change our thinking so that we can become an active participant in the unfolding of reality in new ways.
The course will open with a weekend retreat orienting participants to Rudolf Steiner’s “philosophy of freedom.” In addition to presentations and conversations on the theme, this evening and weekend event will incorporate artistic experiences of metamorphosis through eurythmy and form drawing. The full online course will also include the study of various texts, including content from Rudolf Steiner’s seminal work Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path (aka The Philosophy of Freedom) as well as supplemental readings.
Monika Sutherland, MM will be the lead instructor with guest teachers contributing from their areas of expertise.
This course, (GLWI-Fn2) for 2 units, is required for GLWI students who are seeking a certificate in Waldorf teaching and is open to anyone interested in transforming their thinking – please see Transformational Thinking non-course offerings.
